MEDIA REPS FROM AROUND THE REGION VISIT GUA DAMAI

GUA DAMAI showcased its potential to 50 special visitors. The visitors comprise of local and international media representatives. The visit was arranged by Selangor Tourism with cooperation from MPS. Its aim is to promote Gua Damai as one of the tourist attractions in Selangor. On hand to welcome the group were Dato' YDP of MPS, YB Amiruddin, MPS officers and the JKKK of Kampung Wira Damai.

The entourage arrived at 1:15PM. As soon as they descended the bus, they were greeted by 4 BASE jumpers, parachuting down gracefully across Gua Damai to the football field. The jumpers were soon crowded by the media reps and took plenty of snapshots of them.

Encik  Mustapha from Wira Adventure Consultant, gave the media reps a briefing before showing them other activities that were taking place. The visitors sampled what Tomoy is like and had a chance to try out target shooting.  After that, the youths from 4B Youth Movement showed their prowress on rock climbing.

The media reps also took the opportunity in trying out abseiling and rock climbing. The visit ended at about 2:30PM, with the guests leaving with a goody bag from MPS.

Gua Damai looks forward to another happening event coming in November. We welcome registrations from climbers around the world for the CLIMBERS' GATHERING.

OUR recent participants for the caving and abseiling package were Nicole and her 20 friends. They said they enjoyed the day very much. Most of the participants are first timers to spelunking in a cave. The said spelunking was in the Chili Padi Cave.

We hope to see more of you, Nicole and Friends. The more, the merrier!

Zipline, it's on now

Flying fox (more well known to public) can be enjoyed by kids and adults alike. The 4B Youth Movement (Belia 4B) of Kampung Wira Damai is looking to fill up its fund, by organinsing this activity.


At Gua Damai, the zipline is ready to be used. The registration is open every day for the school holidays, between 5PM to 7PM. During normal period, it is only open on Saturdays and Sundays.


The fee is only RM2 per slide. If you buy 2 slides at a time, you will only be charged RM3 per head.

BASE JUMP COMING TO GUA DAMAI AGAIN!!

We are welcoming our local and international BASE jumpers to Gua Damai, Batu Caves.

Looking forward to have our guests on this 20th and 21st October, 2009.

This jump is organised by Menara Kuala Lumpur in conjunction with their annual event of  "KL TOWER INTERNATIONAL JUMP, MALAYSIA 2009", with the cooperation of Wira Adventure Consultant for the Gua Damai jump. 

Gua Damai will be anticipating 50 jumpers. The international jumpers have yet to try out hopping off from our Gua Damai platform. So far, they have been touring Pahang, Terengganu, Melaka and Kedah. After their stint in Penang, more than the number mentioned above will be heading this way, before goint to KL Tower for their annual jump.

During the event, the jumper may also want to try rock climbing and abseiling since this venue is THE best rock climbing spot in Malaysia.

There will be stalls selling refreshment and gift items such as t-shirts and bags pertaining to this special event. Get your cameras ready to record this event. Tell your friends and family to be on the lookout for the buzz on this 20th October 2009.
