32 Brave children of kindergarten age 6, arrived at Gua Damai this morning. Our first troop of young children from a kindergarten under the care of Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya.
As soon as they arrived at Lembah Damai. They then walked briskly accompanied by 9 teachers to one of the well hidden caves. Before entering the phareatic cave, they were all given a short briefing about caving. Being small in size, they did the duck walk easily through the cave's natural obstacle. The adults have to get down on their hands and knees.
En Mustapha introduced them to caving terms such as stalagtite and stalacmite. Being children, they were excited to flash their torch lights and then sat quietly very briefly. The kindergarteners got to see live bats and unanimously cried out "Batman"! After the caving session, their buses awaited them and transported the group to GUA DAMAI EXTREME PARK within 10 minutes.
After having their lunch and refreshments, they continue to explore rock climbing and then the Zip line. The 6 year olds were encouraged on by other young children who were used to outdoor activities. These children are around 6 to 10 years of age. They then ended their exciting day with Cikgu Shima presenting a plaque of appreciation to En. Mustapha Al Bakri of Wira Adventure Consultant.
We would like to thank all the teachers, the volunteers and the youths from Belia 4B for making "JOM TEROKA DUA DAMAI", a successful event.
